Welcome to an evolving site devoted to the best of contemporary Martian imagery. By itself its essentially just a simple piece of art hinting at the grandeur of the resources available on the web. However the individual thumbnails are generally clickable & will take you to larger versions at the source websites (although Im hosting the more arcane pix myself). As an alien planet, Mars may seem somewhat foreboding, but unlike many places in the solar system it has a surface & an atmosphere. & although it has resulted in a bewildering array of data archives, the modern era of orbital & ground imaging allows Mars to be presented in a colourful & engaging way, demonstrating clearly that the internet can indeed extend ones vision, & enabling the sharing of ones exploration with others.
